There's an increasing number of organizations which are standardizing dozens if not hundreds of websites on Drupal. There is a lot of great innovation going on inhouse, but we have not had a lot of get back into core. Should the next big Drupal sprint be a Multiple site sprint?
Are people willing to travel for 2-3 days to attend a sprint?
Are there organizations dedicating resources to multiple site management who are willing to sponsor getting more of this innovation into Drupal core?
Are organizations willing to provide a sprint location for 8 to 12 sprinters?

Comments
My company has two dozen
My company has two dozen Drupal 5 sites running the same codebase.
At the very least, I'd be willing to contribute my ugly, hacked-up solution for cross-site queries and sharing content between sites.
What's involved in sponsoring a sprint?
We have a location, need flight money
We have a location, but we need money to cover the airfare of sprinters.

Count me in!
We've got a few hundred sites stacked both horizontally and vertically on a few dozen servers in a handful of datacenters. One of our biggest areas of focus is in trying to make site developers' experiences easier as they work on multiple sites.
I can think of certain core improvements that would make this work better, and would love to talk to folks with similar insights.
Don't sprinters cover their own travel?
Are people willing to travel
Yup.
I'm In
Hey Kieran,
I'm in! Where would the sprint be? Boston?
Mike
I can provide a location and accomodations for a couple people
Boise, ID, perhaps?
I have access to a large conference room/work area that could be used. I would also be interested in working on the sprint...my company provides managed Drupal hosting, so there's a lot of good things that could be taken away from this sprint.

Anything out east I could probably swing
As long as it's within some reasonable Driving distance from PSU I could probably attend. I've recently invested a lot of time into scalable multisite infrastructures that are user controlled. I think modules like the following provide some ideas that would be great to get into core and make multisites a lot easier to manage.

Update
Hey everyone,
Just a quick update:
I have about 3 people (plus myself) from the Boise area that are interested in doing this sprint. The stuff that we came up with that we'd like to work on for the sprint are as follows:
-Super-user should be able to admin all sites through one interface.
-drupal.org/node/155309
-drupal.org/node/207475
I can provide discounted rates at a hotel in the Boise area, as well as a work area that is inside the hotel. There are a lot of restaurants (Applebees, Carls Jr., Wendy's, Krispy Kreme, Panda Express, iHop, Denny's, and Texas Roadhouse, just to name a few) within walking distance from the hotel Everything can be organized in less than 2 weeks if we decide to have this sprint in Boise.
Anyone game for this plan?

Good plan
If this gets done Saturday, let me know. I wouldn't mind working on this from afar (no Drupalcon for me this year). If not, my offer for Boise stands.
