This will be a joint meeting of the Niagara/Hamilton and Western New York user groups. We'll also have remote access to the presentation (details to follow).

Topic 1: The Omega Theme

It's a mobile device theme--no, it's a widescreen theme--I mean, a standard theme. What is it? It's a new alpha release of Omega, and with a hand from the modules Delta and Context, your dynamic content decides for you.

Western NY Drupal Users' Group members Brian Fending (fending) and John P. Weiksnar (jpw1116) will bring you their first impressions of Omega in D7. They will also touch on its base themes and sub-themes, a unique method of sub-sectioning the page, and the role of Drush in the whole game. The lingo of Omega gets intricate but the plan is to sort it out for anyone about to jump into the theme.

Topic 2: 5 things to consider when choosing Drupal 7 over Drupal 6

Time permitting, Niagara and Hamilton member Trevor Twining will present a lightning talk on several key factors to weigh when choosing what version of Drupal to build your next site against.
