Go ahead and mark your calendars for the June Richmond Drupal meetup. As we discussed, we'll be hosting at the WCVE studios this time around.
23 Sesame Street, Richmond VA 23235 (yes, that is really the address).
If you are interested in presenting on a topic, share it with us here in the group. I'm planning to do a presentation on modifying built-in forms using a basic custom module (will cover the basics for those not versed in PHP and show some more advanced possibilities as well).
Plenty of time to think about it, but please RSVP by Tuesday June 14 so we can get the food orders right.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to send a reminder - we are one week out from the next Richmond Drupal Meetup.
So far, I haven't heard from anyone else that would like to present. If you have an idea, please let me know as soon as possible so we can establish an itinerary for the evening.
I've put together a presentation on building your first custom module, focused on tweaking the appearance and behavior of forms. I've tried to make it as broad as possible, so even if you have a limited understanding of PHP it will hopefully still be useful for you as an introduction to how Drupal hooks and the Forms API work.
Some ideas as prompts:
Your early experiences with Drupal 7 - what's better, what's worse, and what's confusing?
Share a problem you are stuck on with the group
Share a module you discovered over the last month
Alternatives and extensions to LAMP for your Drupal stack (Nginx, Varnish, PostgreSQL, Memcache, MongoDB) (I'd be really interested in someone discussing this)
If you have other things you would be interested in seeing a presentation on, please share them here.
If you have something you'd like to present on post it here or contact me directly.
