Newbie Questions 3 - Events & Sessions (This is it for today)

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Now I'm looking at the documentation where it says "Create an event for people to attend." The tool tip for "Sessions" says a session happens during an event. So I assume the "event" is the conference. Could it also be a subset of the conference, like "Friday Afternoon Workshops?" When creating a session I do not see a slot for specifying which event the session is associated with. Is it that a session is configured for a certain time slot and if it falls within the duration of an event it automatically is associated with that event? Since Event is a content type, can I create more than one event, like Friday Workshops, Saturday Workshops and Sunday Workshops? Is this how I would divide a conference into separate days?

Could I also set up different events with identical durations to accommodate different registration fees, for example a child rate and an adult rate? If so, could I add the same sessions to the event linked to the child fee rate as well as the event linked to the adult rate? Or, how would you do this?

I've seen a conversation

I've seen a conversation about different pricing. It was about early prices. The guy suggested to enable uc_attribute. There is probably some documentation on working with uberacrt attribtues but basically you will want to add a "ticket type" to the site and then add it to the signup product. So like Shirt size. Just with a different cost for that attribute.
