Hello! I need a little help (and apology if this is not the right place to do this..)
This is based on the wordpress plug-in wp-localbiz. However, it will be more than that!
I am not looking for a "clone", especially a wordpress clone!. wp-localbiz is more aimed at a single web-site - I want to implement a directory. More like Net Space Profits. So this is a merger of two ideas - and on Drupal 7, of course.
The intention is to provide a platform for users to create local directory sites for services, drive traffic them and then, when the pages are highly ranked, lease them to businesses so that those businesses can have the benefit of the traffic.
A site will contain many pages, each dedicated to a specific service. Examples of demonstration sites for this sort of thing are:
chiropractor (http://chiropractor.inboulderlocalarea.com/)
carpet fitter (http://carpetsite.wplocalbiz.com/)
locksmith (http://bestmerseysidelocksmiths.co.uk/services/)
I was trying to do this with Domain Access module but felt it's over-engineered as I want my site to be simple. If possible, when a new domain is created, it should already have a placeholder for site banner, slogan, testimonials, advertisement, contact forms but with values like "Place telephone here" or "Add banner here"...
