I'm interested in what solutions people have found to integrating collaborative worksheets into a Drupal site.
The ideal solution would allow access control at the worksheet and sub-worksheet level; viewing by a wider audience; and ablity to directly integrate the rich functions of Excel rather than having to export Excel files first, with losses in fidelity or functionality.

We recently had to do some research on integrating shared worksheets into Drupal, and came across the following projects (which might be of use to you):

In the end, we switched to using Google Spreadsheets. In our project, admin users edit the Google spreadsheets in the normal way via Google and then publish them to a URL, which is then referenced in a Drupal node (a little bit different than what you're looking for).
That said, you may also be able to get interactive Google spreadsheets working directly within Drupal. I'm not positive but it might be worth looking into.
