Help and help :)
I need help (if I haven't fixed it by then) on an HTML/CSS issue. Details: I added a .css file to my theme. I can see that it is loaded by looking at the source. It contains a unique class not used anywhere else. The PHP is adding the class correctly (verified with Firebug), but the styles are not being applied to the HTML elements.) :( I'm sure it's something simple, like inheritance rules, but I'm just not seeing the problem.
Also, in the category of providing help, a few of us went to the CT Drupal Camp on Sat, so not sure if anyone is interested in a report from that. John Bottoms did a talk on ontologies and Drupal, and I did a talk on "Drupal PHP for Designers." I've also been accepted to present the same talk at NH in October. If we can figure out the technology, I'd be happy to give the talk at one of our meetings.

First, are you using Internet Exploder? Second, how many CSS files do you have? IE has a limit of 32 CSS files and simply ignores everything after that. Some themes, like Zen and Omega, can easily reach 32 files (especially with some contribs) and then seem to go bonkers. That's why D5 introduced the CSS compression feature. It is better to develop in Firefox or Chrome, then compress your CSS and test in IE. Also remember that most browsers cache the CSS and may not always show you the updated rules. Learn how to clear your browser caches, especially while making theming changes.

Thanks, Nancy
Lots of good info. I did not know about the 32 CSS file limit.
Luckily, I do know about stubbornness, and with the help of Firebug (I luvs Firebug) was able to wrangle my way through, and bend the CSS to my will. Bwahaha. :D
Onto the next page layout!
