Last year, the University of Waterloo decided that Drupal will be its advocated content management system for web sites the university will be deploying going forward.
For our September session, members of the University of Waterloo CMS team will share information and knowledge about their enterprise-level Drupal implementation.
Information presented will include:
- Why Drupal was chosen as the web-content-management solution to implement for university-wide use;
- Some of the technical challenges faced by the CMS team (e.g. file handling, multimedia, and staging);
- An overview of the modules being used for the university’s Drupal implementation;
- Some of the technical lessons learned by the CMS team;
- Some technical highlights of the university’s CMS implementation (e.g. install profile, Drupal features, WYSIWYG).
The presentation will be delivered by Kris Olafson, Jeff Voskamp and Eva Grabinski.
