I'll be delivering Aquaia's Hello Drupal! session at Word 11 on August 26 at 8:30pm.
In this three hour session, experience using Drupal to build a feature rich community site, and learn about the community as well. With hands-on training you will get kick started in learning Drupal, and talk to professional developers who use Drupal. I'll tell you about the kinds of tools are available, how to build a career with Drupal and how you can determine which is right for you.
This training is specifically targeted towards people who are looking to get into Drupal, or just starting out within the Drupal ecosystem. I'll be there to guide you through the major steps of setting up a Drupal site, and to answer any additional questions that you have.
The training itself is free, with the cost of entry to Word11. It's $40 for the whole festival, which will get you networking opportunities, additional training from the other presenters, and you can join in an all-night hackathon. Online registration is now closed, but tickets can be purchased at the door for $40. Ticket sales are from 8:30am till Noon at 720 Bathurst Street (Centre for Social Innovation) – 2nd Floor OR 5:30pm till Midnight at Honest Ed’s Parking Lot (Lennox & Markham Street)
