Book Arts hand off
At our Bookarts sprint last week we almost finished the site- it is time to pass to them for content/QA. I could do a little wrap up of the project and Dan said he might swing by so we could do a little hand off...
Bryan Z- any chance you could bring footage from our initial sprint, I am thinking about a little barnraising case study...

Book Arts hand off
I could bring the tapes the tapes (3 simultaneous cameras for 6-8hrs each) but am not sure how useful it would be -- could FFwd through to the 30 second summaries we did every hour -- if folks were interested -- all hail the timer ;) -- http://flathatter.com/timer/
Lemme know if you think this would be valuable and I'll bring in the camera and footage.
sure
are they miniDV? If it is easy to bring them along I would like to look through them. I might just end up cutting the summaries out...
thanks

Footage FAIL
Jared --
In the scramble out the door this AM, I FAILed to grab the footage. Happy to connect you up with it soon if you have a chance to drop by downtown.

Co-working?
Is there co-working before Thursday's meeting, and if so, where?

Alas I'll be missing SEADUG this months...
but not the cold. 80 degrees in Honolulu today.
Snow
Please ping in if you are still coming to the meeting. I'd like to get an idea of whether people are still up for it given the Snowpocalypse.
I made it in so we are still on if people are up for it.

I can come
I normally travel to downtown by bus, and the buses are running (though a bit slow, on snow routes, and VERY crowded), so I can make it. But if we don't have a quorum, I'll probably just stay at home. We could have a big IRC chat instead, and/or a free conference call... I'm thinking if we are going to have a Drupal Camp in February, we'd better discuss it?

I can come too
I was hoping to do a little coworking beforehand.
I agree that if we want to have DrupalCamp this winter we should start talking soon.
Bryan, you should make the call since it is your place.

Calling it at 11:28 AM --
These two jack-knifed buses are just outside our building right now on 3rd & Columbia -- And several co-workers from outlying areas can't get into or out of downtown Seattle this AM.
Unless there's an objection from anyone, I think I'm gonna call it and say let's meet here next month and cancel today's meeting and co-working -- if someone wants to setup an IRC or Skype call, I'll try and join in (if I'm near a connection).
Everyone cool with that?
great picture
sounds good.

Thanks Bryan. I think that it is a safe bet to cancel. I'll let Jennifer know, so she can update the event to make it official.
How does January 15th look like for you for the next DUG?

IRC then?
Do we want to have an IRC chat today to discuss the Camp? It seems like a Jan 15 meeting won't leave us much time if the camp is in February, but maybe we can pull it off... ?
I'm available for IRC or a conf call (if someone has phones that can do conferencing) today. I'm checking email and this forum regularly, but not at my desk generally today, so a bit of lead time would be good, but any time is fine with me.
Thoughts?

maybe a new post?
I like the idea of getting this discussion going. Maybe it might be helpful to make a new post to the group about the camp and get some info before we go ahead. We could get a little planning group set up and that might make planning a bit more effective/efficient. I am down for whatever- I think a winter camp is the way to go.

There is a wiki
There's already a Wiki page on the Drupal Camp Seattle group, marked private, where lots of notes have been made about locations, dates, etc. I'm not sure what other input we need from the group at large.
I guess I was hoping/thinking that at today's meeting we would nail down things like dates, location, and a general outline of how we want the camp to go. I don't think we can do that as a group without a meeting, and the proposed dates are around Feb 20. To my mind, this makes a Jan 15 meeting pretty late to be still deciding on things like that. The other possibility is that someone or a couple of people can take charge of it all, make the decisions, solicit input where necessary, and get the rest of us organized in making the camp occur. Maybe that is already happening at Civic Actions?
