Help Migrating Small Site to Acquia Commons

I have a small community website not currently based on Drupal, and am interested in migrating it to Acquia Commons. The data is available as a database export. I can do enough scripting to get the data into whatever format it needs to be in for import purposes, but I don't really know Drupal internals. I want to import the 400 users, their 700 blog posts, and their 840 threaded comments, making sure to preserve the threads.

This is a personal -- not corporate -- project, but I can pay for the help, if there's anyone willing and able. I'm especially interested in hiring someone local to Portland, although that's not strictly necessary.
