The High Desert Drupal group meets every month. This local group is a nice place for people to learn and talk about Drupal, a world popular content management system (CMS). We also plan to talk about web development in general, covering all aspects from planning, design, development, and maintaining a web site. RSVP is not required and attendance is free. Tell all your friends!
What are we going to talk about?
This month we'll be taking Sam's candy site to the next level... We'll be taking the information on the wiki we all contributed to during the planning phase, and convert them into Drupal content types, pages, and blocks. We'll discuss all the modules needed to accomplish the creation of custom content type, as well as how to display them in logical chunks.
If you are new to installing modules (or installing Drupal for that matter), then this is definitely the meeting you want to attend. It is encouraged that you bring your laptops to follow along and have a working copy on your local machine. As always, we will provide technical support along the way. Hope to see you there.
Where are we meeting?
We are meeting in the McDonalds conference room at the Apple Valley McDonalds on the corner of Apple Valley Rd and Bear Valley Rd. The room seats up to 49 people and is free to use.
