We'll host the next meeting at WCVE on 11/16 at 6pm - 23 Sesame Street, Richmond VA 23235.
As we mentioned last time, we are going to try spreading these out to every two months. Wanted to give everyone ample notice to save the date on their calendar.
I have a few things I would be happy to present on, but it would also be nice to hear from others, so if you have something you would be willing to present please let us know in a separate post.
If no one else has something to present, I can do either:
* SSL & Drupal 7
* Choosing Drupal 7 to build a web application prototype - would I do it again?
Whichever people might be more interested in.
Please RSVP before 11/14 if possible.
Thanks!
Jesse

I'd love to see a presentation about SSL & Drupal 7, including setting it up on an Ubuntu or similar Linux flavor, if appropriate, since that is half if not 3/4 of the battle...and of course the Apache setup.
Great, looks like with 1 vote
Great, looks like with 1 vote to zero, SSL is the winner.
I'll put a presentation together on setting up SSL on Apache & Nginx and the "SSL Recipes" for Drupal 7... but my feelings definitely will not be hurt if someone else comes up with something more interesting in the meantime.
Would definitely like to hear someone with Aegir experience talk about it during one of these.
Thanks, hope to see some of you on the 16th....
Aegir
Hey Jesse - I'm happy to demonstrate/talk about Aegir and how we've been using it at my company, both for development and for production hosting. I don't want to bump out the SSL talk or anything, but we could split the talks, or I can volunteer for the next one. Thanks for organizing, and looking forward to seeing the radio station since I missed it the first time!
Awesome! Selfishly, of
Awesome! Selfishly, of course, I'd rather hear about Aegir... let's do that if you don't mind (mixing up presenters is definitely a good thing) and I can either do a short version of the SSL talk if we have time after yours or we can save that for another date.
Glad you'll be able to make it out!
Cool with me!
Aegir would indeed be much more interesting. +1
Aegir it is then
Alright, I'll come prepared for that. Looking forward to it; I haven't presented anywhere in a while. :-) See you all then.
Great, let me know if you
Great, let me know if you need any special set up (other than a projector and internet connection)... look forward to seeing everyone.
Thanks to Jordan!
Thanks Jordan for a great presentation on Aegir (I'm already playing around with it on a VM), and those that braved the downpour to make it to this meetup.
Look for the next one in mid-January - Captech folks chime in if you'd like to host there next time...
Ditto - Great presentation Jordan - Thx.
Jordan,
Thanks again for the Aegir presentation - well done! I'm looking forward to using Aegir; looks like a must have tool for Drupal dev, etc. Again, thx.
