General Intro to D7
Adam Courtemanche will start the meeting with an informal discussion of D7: What's new and different, tips for new D7 users, what you need to know, if you're thinking about getting into D7, etc. Audience input from other people either starting to use, or familiar with using, D7 will be especially appreciated: Tell us your experiences, so far. Is D7 ready for prime time?
Omega Theme
Arne Norris will present an overview of the Omega Drupal 7 Base Theme, the "must have," 960-grid/HTML5 tool for theming in D7. Omega is leading the way in providing a mobile-first, responsive base theme. Arne will show some examples of responsive sites, and go over the features of Omega and Delta, the companion module that integrates with the Context module to allow contextual layouts. The presentation will finish with an overview of helpful resources about Omega and responsive design.
