Hey all,
New to Portland, and relatively new to Drupal. I think I've reached the point in my project/drupal learning curve where I either need to hire somebody to help, or get some guidance on how to proceed. Seems like the Drupal meet-up would be a perfect place for either one of these tasks. Are the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Wednesday meetings still active?
Also, never really been to anything like this. Any thoughts on what to expect?

Hi Halffull, welcome to
Hi Halffull, welcome to Portland (and Drupal)!
Yes, both meetings are active and ongoing, and we welcome all at both. These meetings are usually posted here in this group, so as they approach each month you'll see an announcement here.
Our User Group meeting (2nd Wed) is more formal in structure, most often with presentations and demos arranged in advance. There are usually a couple people who show something cool they've done, or give a session on a particular topic.
Brewpal (4th Tues) is more informal, where we get together and work on things and help each other out. This is a good place to come with your (charged up if possible) laptop and work with other people to hack on stuff, figure things out, and ask questions.
If you're looking to hire someone, feel free to submit a job to the group. In the top right hand sidebar of this group when you are logged in, there is a link to "Create Job" where you can fill out a description of what you are looking for and it will post to the group.
