Event type:
User group meeting
For the December 6th Santa Cruz Drupal User Group, Scott Patterson will be showing us his Drupal 7 (and parallel Drupal 6) project as he hopes it will be live by then.
Also, I should know by then if I'm writing a Drupal book... stay tuned.
Let me know if anyone else has a topic they'd like to discuss.

Some topics
Craig suggested some additional topics:
1) Theming ( any and all aspects) for instance how to make 'look and feel' more alive. All aspects of theme customization.
2) Community features ( any and all aspects)
3) Plugins
4) SEO
5) How to create / support multiple sites
Perhaps everyone can make a list of their top 50 (100?) modules and share them at the meeting. Many of these will be the same but we may find a few gems that aren't so well known.
I've gone over SEO before so I don't think that would be too useful except for the newbies (I'm willing to stay late and go over SEO for those people though).
Anyone else have any thoughts on topics?

Something surprising happened on the way to the Store
"Something surprising happened on the way to the Store"
I think this would be the title of my session at this point.
Yes, we talked about discussing efforts in migrating Ubercart to D7 Commerce
and issues in dealing with and maintaining parallel stores.
I would be happy to share some topics I've encountered along the way
And yes I should have a live UberCart store by then.
I would like to propose that we structure the meeting with something I've seen from other Drupal gatherings. Lightning rounds: fast, informative and fun 15 minute topics lead by one person, strict on the time. (we need a buzzer for this group!)
If we like the format, we can continue and create a signup.
I would volunteer to do the first 15 minutes for the next 3 months on UberCart/Commerce related topics.
Thanks
Scott
Fun!
The buzzer idea might work ;)
I'm up for presenting some info on D7 internationalization/localization if the group is up for that. It may be ad hoc though depending on how much time I can squeeze in for preparation.
Looking forward to Tuesday and some lightning!

I can do 15 minutes!
A relevant topic for me would be the challenge of implementing a specific content design in a way that exactly replicates the PSD but is also easy for the site admin.

20 minutes?
If we don't get any other takers, then we could do three 20 minute talks instead of four 15 minute ones.
