Hi

BenGman's picture

I've not been doing any web work in the past year (hence no real experience with D7) ... but in the next 2 weeks I have to catch up to work on some projects....

Me too myself. I have not done much in a while. Just started working on a site for my cousin yesterday and she wants flash...Actually she isn't exactly too sure of what she wants so I'm looking into HTML5 as I don't have the money to purchase Adobe Flash etc... Also I'm using linode as my web host which gives me full ssh access so I'm using drush... I also have a personal project i would like to work on for myself...Doing them both in D7... The way things looking HTML5 is the thing to focus on especially concerning media queries as there is no telling what device your site is going to be displayed on..Gotta design for cellphones, tablets etc... Thanks for commenting..Keep in touch...

Flash may be bad for SEO and Mobile

Hi cupid20d, Flash is flashy but we'll need to educate people on it's cons. Reach out to xamount, I know he's from Trini and worked on some interesting Drupal projects there.

He did a writeup on the Gardian a while back.

Yep...didn't xamount start this group? I think he did..Anyways, I am using D7 now. Working on something new for a friend of mines. It's pretty complex. Supposed to be something similar to this site http://www.taskrabbit.com/

TaskRabbit was done using Ruby on Rails.
D7 has some cool features that I'm getting up to speed with e.g Rules framework, Features framework and the Entity API to name a few.
