Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
You, the resourceful PHP Developer/ Sys Admin, will have hands-on responsibilities for the development, testing and deployment of Web applications. You must also enjoy troubleshooting architecture issues, and assisting in the implementation and maintenance of our Linux servers and internal network. You must be a strong all-around IT pro and must have a solid understanding of Web standards, Web development best practices, Web services, Web protocols, dynamic content retrieval and page rendering, site management and client/server interaction. You will be part of a tightly knit team of professionals, and possess strong team-based development abilities. You will work on multiple projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment… and will love the challenge! Your essential duties & responsibilities will be:

  • 3-5 years PHP experience
  • Class based PHP + MySql application development
  • Familiarity with all phases of the software development cycle
  • Sys Admin: Linux, Apache, Microsoft Windows Server
  • DNS, firewalls, security standards, RAID, networking and common services
  • Knowledge of XML, RSS, CSS and HTTP networking
  • Knowledge of how to make things work across various OS and browser platforms
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, network, and user issues
  • Responsible for managing relationship with data center supplier (hosted environment)
  • Daily administration tasks will include; server administration, maintenance and troubleshooting, data backups and restoring requested data, monitor uptime and performance of the various program modules, interfaces, troubleshooting problems with personal computers, software, and related equipment.
  • Help with implementation, configuration and testing of all data system upgrades in development and test environments prior to production rollout.
  • Assist in planning, setup, integration and administration of application servers, network components and other technology systems.
  • Connect and install personal computer hardware and software.
  • Install and maintain server class hardware and software.
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to others in the development of Technology personnel’s technical skills.
  • Handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.
  • Take initiative to identify problems and correct them or suggest improvements.
  • Document activities and procedures completely and in a timely manner.
  • Manage software licensing and maintenance subscriptions to ensure compliance and coverage.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major a plus
- Passion for online video is an absolute MUST, along with a passion for the Web and using Web technologies to push the boundaries of what's possible.

- Comfortable collaborating with other developers on project teams, including remote resources

Compensation:
