I gave a presentation on an Introduction to Drupal Commerce Rules. The following topics were discussed during the presentation:
- Discussed the great contribution from Wolfgang Ziegler (@the_real_fago ) for creating the Rules module/API
- Discussed reference videos from NodeOne to learn Rules and videos from Commerce Guys on their channel on Vimeo
- What are Drupal Rules?
- Drupal Rules Components: (Event, Condition and Action)
- General Drupal Rules guidelines
- Example 1: Drupal Commerce Product Sell Price Rule
- Example 2: Drupal Commerce Checkout Completion Rule
We had three remote participants via Skype and eight in the meeting room. In addition to the presentation, we also talked about Florida DrupalCamp ( http://FLDrupalCamp.org ) taking place on February 11 and 12, 2012 and encouraging people to attend the premier Drupal event in Florida. The rest of the meetup was spent answering Drupal questions from several of our participants.
We hope to keep this format going where we have a presentation that takes up part of the meetup and leave time to have several discussions helping people progress from Drupal beginners to Drupal experts.
