D7 Rules, flags, organic groups, VBO

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Firstly I have to say I think Organic Groups is brilliant. And with rules, vbo and flags, I would also say they have changed the way I approach buildingall my Drupal 7 websites.

What I want to do is implement something like the D6 RSVP module in D7 using rules, flags, Organic Groups and VBO but I've got stuck

A typical use case is ... a "Group Manager" visits a group content node (say a "Meeting") and I want a view that returns a list of users who belong to the organic group to which the content belongs.

Next to each user there will be 2 flags (links) indicating if the user is "available to attend" and another to indicate if the user has been "invited to attend" a particular "Meeting" node. These would be clickable by the Group manager to set and unset each flag.

You can then use Rules and VBO to send a messages to selected members.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Meeting attendance

Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to use VBO to record meeting attendance and stumbled upon your post.

Not sure if you can help but here's my scenario;

I'm presenting a simple view to my client who is responsible for taking attendance at his organization's AGM. It would seem to be a natural application of VBO. The trouble is, i can't get the entity fields I want to display.

The only display values available to me are:
Name
Email
User roles
Status
Default theme

I want to be able to expose the profile field for the specific year: eg. Profile: MEETINGS 10: mtg/12 (2012).

This field accepts the values Y,N,NYM
(yes, no, not yet member).

Can you tell me how to expose this profile field?

Thanks!
