Open Media Coming to Sacramento

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

The team from Civic Pixel / Deproduction / Denver Open Media will be in the Sacramento area the May 25-27th. We're going to be there to implement the Open Media System at Davis Access Media, but we'd love to do a song and dance for the SacDUG'ers while we're there if that's possible. We going to be presenting at the Open Video Conference June 18-19. We'd like to do something of a hybrid of that overview presentation and a summary of what came out of the media related camp and sprint that happened last weekend in Denver.

Any interest from the SacDUG? I know there are PEG folks from Davis, Sacramento, and San Francisco as well Humboldt, Gilroy, and other California public access stations so we need a "largish" place with projection... and to keep it SacDUG, beer.

We're still looking for

We're still looking for someplace to meet next Wed (the 27th). Both Hoppy and Davis Access Media are booked. Any suggestions for place that can accommodate 20-30 people in Davis or Sacramento?

Was at the River City Brewery. They have a back room that can support 20-30 people. No network, though, if that matters.

Adam mentioned a few other places in the area when we were looking around for new digs:

We will be meeting up at Sudwerks.

Sorry for the late notice. A few PEG stations from Northern California will be meeting at Sudwerks tonight (5/27) at 5 PM. We plan to discuss the Open Media Project, Drupal and other related topics. Each of the stations are in various stages of transition to a digital workflow using Drupal in some way. Please join us to mix, mingle and learn more about the project.
