Hi all,
Was great to see a number of you end of February for the first Brisbane meet-up in a while! At the last meet-up we discussed a few things in regards to meeting time/location and decided to stay at Irish Muprhys. The key factor behind this decision being that we've been offered the use of a function area which is quiet and provides a projector for presentations. 7pm has been selected as the new starting time since the clearways in the city finish and street parking becomes available.
This format seems to have overwhelming support, but I would love to hear from people who couldn't make the last event if the location/time/date were prohibitive to you coming along.
At this stage looking for people wanting to present something to the group - we should now have a projector so this will be much easier. Please comment with ideas for presenting/discussion items.

Sounds great for a regular time and place.
The later start time will be a big plus in opening up free parking options. Hope that it is not a problem for after-work-stayers.
The room above the stairs is great - only issue we had there previously was getting shoo-ed out by 8pm as the upstairs barperson shut down that bar and appeared to need to clear this room (with chairs stacked on tables - ready for the cleaners??) before their shift ended at 8pm! Though I guess if you've now negotiated access to the room's fixed ceiling projector you probably covered this issue with the management too.

Unfortunately have a last minute Sydney + Melbourne trip so will unfortunately in Melbourne tonight...
Their meetup being on tonight means I'll have planned the Brisbane one and likely gone to the Melbourne meetup :-\
Very sorry I can't make it all - there's a number of other GO1 staff I know who will be attending so please still go - look forward to some proposals for discussions and next month when I'm in the state I'll ensure there's a few pre-planned!

New to Bris
Hi All,
I'm new to Brisbane but not new to Drupal (5+ years, since 4.7). Does the Bris group always meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month? Hope not as I always have something else on Tuesdays and would love to attend!

Yeah 2nd Tuesday of every month was the selected date...is dissapointing it doesn't work for you.
What day/s would work better for you? Obviously keen to get as much feedback on the dates to allow as many people as possible come along.

Really any day except Tuesday I'm afraid! Just one of those things that I'm already committed each Tuesday night but otherwise don't have any sustained commitments.
