A few of us are having coffee and talking Drupal (and the upcoming Drupal Design Camp!) on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at J.P. Licks in Jamaica Plain. You're invited! If you plan to attend, please sign up by logging in and clicking the "Signup" button below. Knowing how many people are interested in attending can help us better select good locations in the future. People who sign up will also have last minute details (if there are any) sent to them before the meeting.
When: 6-9pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 |
Where: J.P. Licks at 659 Centre St. Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 |
Topics
The Drupal Cafe meetings are usually unstructured and there aren't any predetermined topics, but this time a few of us will be focusing on the upcoming Drupal Design Camp in Boston on June 13-14.
There's plenty of room for other topics as well, so if there's something that you want to talk about, just bring your laptop, a copy of Pro Drupal Development or whatever else you need. The last time we had a Drupal Cafe in JP, we had 17 people in total and ended up splitting into two groups anyway (one for beginners and another for advanced topics and Q&A) and I think it worked very well.
Location
We're meeting at the J.P. Licks café and ice cream shop at 659 Centre St. in Jamaica Plain (their phone number is 617-524-6740). This location is easily accessible by public transportation (take the 39 bus to the Green St. stop or take the T to the Green St. station on the Orange Line) and there is free on-street parking.
There's a booth in the back that can seat 8-9 people. Please grab it if you arrive before anyone else! If it turns out that there are too many people and we need more space, we can rendezvous at June Bug Café, which is a ways down Centre St. (in Hyde Square). They have plenty of space but parking and T-accessibility isn't as good.
Both J.P. Licks and June Bug Café offer food, drinks and free wireless access. At J.P. Licks, I recommend their espresso and the pink grapefruit sorbet (but not together!).

Had several good
Had several good conversations last time and would love to be there but I'm not going to make it tonight. Will see everyone at the Design Camp.
It's all ball bearings these days...
I have to miss it tonight
Even it is Wednesday night when I usually could come, I have a conflict with a rehearsal tonight. Hope to see you all soon again.
