We will be hosted by the MIT Drupal Group in Cambridge in Building E51 - Tang Center in E51-145.
Parking and Transportation:
After 5pm, there is an unattended MIT lot called Hayward: http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=P5
The Boston Initiative
We will dedicate the first hour of the meeting building a curriculum for learning about and contributing to Drupal core (see http://groups.drupal.org/node/194708 for more information). We'll be led by Kay VanValkenburgh.
Lightning Talks
We'll do lightening talk for the second hour of the meeting. Each volunteer will get up to 10 minutes to ask questions of the group, present your recent Drupal work, or other lead Drupal discussion. This is an open floor, and no preparation is required.
Dinner
After the meetup, some of us will continue the conversation over dinner at MIT's Muddy Charles Pub. We will likely pre-order some dinner so it meets us there. We'll take a count about half way through the meeting.
Please plan on bringing $10 to participate in pre-ordering food and some drinks. If you would like to sponsor dinner, comment below and organizers will reach out. You will be recognized at the meeting as well as given the chance to do a featured talk.

Hi ... curious if anyone is going to be attending this from the Burlington area. I'm in town visiting and am looking for a ride. I'd be happy to buy dinner/drinks or gas in exchange!
Unadorned cities
When in doubt in New England, it's best to say which state you mean. Do you mean Massachusetts or Vermont? (I live 20 minutes from both Bedford MA and Bedford NH.)
Thanks for the pointer ...

Hello interested in getting info about Drupal Boston
Hello,
I was looking for a Drupal Meetup group in Boston which lead me here. Hopefully I am in the right place!
Is this group open to anyone of all levels?
If so when, and where is your next meeting?
I would love to hear more about the group itself, and what the group has been up to lately.
Thanks!
This group is open to anyone
This group is open to anyone and meets every first Tuesday of the month. There is around 25+ attending each meeting and newbies are welcome.
Details for next Drupal gathering
Thats great!
For some reason I thought it was Mondays?
Can you tell me where, and what time will be the next one?
Thanks!
Following up
So are there two groups Boston Drupal Meetup, and MIT Drupal Group?
Or are have these groups merged in some way.
Are the meetings at the Cambridge in Building E51 Tang Center in E51-145 @ 6:30pm every month?
(just noticed other details at the top of the post)
Thanks again!
The Boston Drupal Group meets
The Boston Drupal Group meets at MIT... I'm not aware of a MIT specific meetup, but it may be there.
http://groups.drupal.org/node/218004 is the event for the next general meetup.
There is also a smaller group that meets every other week that has been dubbed the "Boston Drupal Self Help". This group meets in Arlington on Thursday nights twice a month and is also announced in this group. Technically, the "membership" isn't separate and we're trying to make sure that both groups have a mix of experience and styles. The previous meetup for this group had a longer presentation style, but that's only one possibility.
The self help group is more of a round table help session where hopefully we can help each other with specific problems we face while learning/building with Drupal.
However, both groups are always in flux and looking to best serve who ever can make it out, so feel free to come and let us know what would help you be most involved.
Thanks,
Erik
