Comments
Don't present anything too interesting...
...cause I already know I can't make it! ;-)
I've been playing around with the Open Layers mapping stuff a little bit, if people are interested in that for June.

p.s.
My son was reading over my shoulder and said that basket weaving is very interesting... so I guess we'll have to figure out something else ;)

Silicon Valley DUG on Wed?
Anyone going to the SV DUG this coming Wed?
http://www.meetup.com/DrupalGroup/events/60870242/
It's on Drupal Migration.
I might be able to drive depending on if my husband can deal with the kiddos.

PHP or rest
I'm leaning towards either the PHP one (since it's later and doesn't require keeping my kids at after school care) or perhaps just resting (or reading the final Hunter Games book!).

SCDUG - Drupal Migration
Sure wish I could join you folks on Wednesdays. Taking a class at that time. See you in a few months!
Can the Migration talk be videotaped?

Meeting topics
Hi all! My oldest son turns 9 today (yes, I'm getting old :P )... so it's been birthday weekend and so on.
Thus, I haven't had time to prepare any presentations!! Argh. Anyone have something they can present tomorrow? I was hoping to do the multilingual talk by tomorrow night so I could run it by everyone but it doesn't look like that's going to happen :(
Linda - the migration talk was at the Silicon Valley DUG last week... not sure if there are slides or anything...

I have been wanting to attend
I am a Drupal user i.e.; I have a site using Drupal. I am not what you call knowledgeable and need to figure some things out about my site. I would like to attend tonight's meeting...mostly to meet a couple of people who work on drupal here in SC. I cannot stay the who meeting and I will have to bring my son with me. Can I arrive a few minutes early to feel things out?
Thank you
Signed up
Son is staying home :)
Glad you made it
Hope you figure out your performance issues easily... let us know how it works out.

So far so good! I think I need to look into VPS hosting, any recommendations?
VPS
I've been using Linode for a while now and I've been happy - a good rate and great responsive support.
My referral code link is http://www.linode.com/?r=a19b3d1e8699717956a4f9bcba5f2f696c6773b3 I'd start out with the low 512MB plan, it should be more than enough for what you need. You can go cheaper but you start running into downtime/stability/etc stuff.
Amazon is imho geared more towards computing / CDN, but another good solution is http://www.rackspace.com/ it's more expensive than linode for the same amount of RAM, but it's a bit more flexible/scalable.
VPS hosting
I looked into Linode, got a paln...found out that I needed to learn way to much just to get started. Then in the midst of trying to figure out what I did not know, I learned that Aquia Commons requires a 1G RAM minimum. So, I am wondering what other recommendations you (or others) may have.
It was pixel ratio, not pixel
It was pixel ratio, not pixel density: use is for images that are more UI/text/etc where you would want (on an iPhone portrait for example) an image which was deliberately re-rendered from a 480px image to 960px vs having a 960px image meant for a traditional display running at 960.
My issue @ http://drupal.org/node/1544206
One dealing with pixel ratio @ http://drupal.org/node/1550054
PS - the module I couldn't remember the name of http://drupal.org/project/imce

Thanks for posting the links, they look good sources of info. While it's not specifically drupal I've found some good jquery resources at http://jquerymobile.com/
You might also check out the Silicon Valley Drupal Group as there are a lot of iphone folks there and I'm sure they are into responsive design.
