Less than a week to go until the event - are you excited yet?

We could not have put on the event without them, so say a bit thanks if you see them at the event. We still have bronze sponsorship places, and if we manage to fill a couple more we can get everyone lunch on the Saturday - so please ask anyone you know who might be able to help.
We need volunteers for the event - there are various slots which need filling, including:

Help to photograph (so we can put everything back in the right place) and move furniture in the Skiff on Friday night (from 6pm - should only take an hour or so with enough people).

Help set up on Saturday morning (from 8.00 am) Get the tea and coffee ready, set up the registration desk.

Registration and security helpers (from 9.00am). People who can help with shifts throughout the day - signing in late comers, and checking people’s badges.

General helpers / runners to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Photographer - I am sure loads of people will take pictures, but it would be nice to have someone in charge of taking shots of everything and put them up on Flickr.

‘Room mentors’ - I would be really good to have one or two people in charge if each track toom. Things to do here would include: Introduce the speakers (if you like!), make sure the sessions get recorded, make sure people stick to the correct timings (give them 5 minute warnings), get the speakers tea and coffee and make sure everyone is ok.

‘Social media overlord/lady’ - Someone to watch what is going on on Twitter - push out helpful information, retweet good things, and reply to / alert helpers to bad things.

I was also like to have a brief meetup on Wednesday evening (tonight!) to have a final run down, and sanity check. If anyone (especially if you would like to help out on the day) would like to come to the Hampton arms around 6 - 6.30 it would be great to have a final catch up before everything kicks off!
If anyone is interested in helping out, drop me an email, or come along to the meeting.

I have my video camera, tripod, and microphone, Andy has a small cam but no separate mic - did put a call-out for loans on bnm/bfl/skiff lists but no response yet.

I have a nice old mini dv camcorder but the last people who borrowed it never gave me the power supply back :(
Probably do still have a tripod, do have a canon D500 but seems over kill and not sure how audio would be, very hi def image tho :)
I wonder how well my laptop with built in cam would work?
I could bring a big Lacie drive to record video to ??? I wonder
Somewhere I have a nice little external mic but im pretty sure you can't just plug it in to a laptop...
An iPhone 4 or 4s would be fine wouldn't it?
