Anyone using Location Taxonomize module for D7?

I'm using Location module (lastest version) with D7. I need the city field to be associated with a city taxonomy vocab. Not seeing how to do that within Location, and the project page makes reference to some lacking features; not sure whether it is meant to support this or not. (The issue queue has nearly 700 posts, so I won't even bother to ask there.)

The Location Taxonomize module claims to sync the two, but reads as populating the vocab from the Locations data. I need the reverse. Want a dropdown field for city that is the term reference. I hate to have to abandon the Location module, because I planned to generate a Google Map of nodes per city/content-type. (Yes, I have posted question to that issue queue.)

USE CASE:
Using Taxonomy Menu (City) to dynamically build View(s) for each city. Taxonomy works with arguments.

this seems like a very creative solution to your problem (meaning wish i had thought of it) - checking out taxonomy menu (which i have used before ) for D7 you may have a problem integrating views menu paths (the menu path type dropdown) -- see http://drupal.org/node/1035446 the functionality is not there yet - but there may be a working patch.

just using straight taxonomy paths works fine.

I have never used location taxonomize - but may take it for a test run.
