Brent Danley presents on the benefits of putting site configurations into code, primarily with the Features Module. He will go through the module and demonstrate with a use case, and will also mention Drush commands for the module. This will be an introductory exposure to the module so that people can investigate it more on their own.
Then he will talk about gitolite and how to use it for repo management; and lastly he will talk briefly about IRC as a development resource, reviewing some of the protocols, commands, and recommended channels.
