We held our Broward Drupal monthly meetup on Wednesday, June 13th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Remote participant(via Skype and Join.me):
Seattle - Chris Parsons @chillin411

In Person (Greater Fort Lauderdale, Broward County Florida):
John Studdard @JohnStuddard, Dustin Cooper @dustinjcooper, Jay Epstein @jeppy64, Rob de Koter @Robdekoter, John Everett @Agile_dot_TV, Jeff Locke, Stacey Baroulette, Elvis Svoboda, Teo Vitkaiskas, Jessica Rivera, Peter Davis, Jorge Chacon, and me @hectoriribarne

We started the meetup talking about the upcoming @DrupalEasy training in South Florida from July 25-27. To register, go to http://drupaleasy.com/south-florida

We continued the meetup talking about Drupal Commerce Feeds. Hector Iribarne (@hectoriribarne http://iribarne.com) gave a demo on importing products from a csv file. The demo began by using BOA (Barracuda, Octopus and Aegir) to install Drupal Commerce Kickstart. Then the following modules were added using drush: module_filter admin_menu pathauto token commerce_product_display_manager inline_entity_form job_scheduler features feeds commerce_feeds. The next step was to add a feeds importer and configure it to import the csv file. Once the products were loaded, module inline_entity_form was used to add product displays and module commerce_product_display_manager was used to add products to product displays. For more info on getting started with Drupal Commerce take a look at the slides and listen to the audio of our January 2012 meetup: http://browarddrupal.org/PastMeetings/january-2012

Jay Epstein (@jeppy64 http://jay-epstein.com) talked about the first steps to take when starting to theme in Drupal, including the discussions with the client, the interaction between the themer and the designer, and which Drupal base themes he chooses depending on what the client requests for their site.

We had one remote participant via Skype/Join.me and thirteen in the meeting room. The rest of the meetup was spent answering everyone's questions on the projects they are working on.
