This month we're doing an "Intro to Responsive Themes." We'll cover a bit of the theory then dive into a couple of base themes that can help us get closer to those goals, including Zen and Omega. We'll also touch on a couple of themes built by some of our local people - Boilerplate (by danlinn) and Hexagon (with help from penguininja).
If you are interested in responsive theming in Drupal or if you have some tips and tricks, questions, or experiences to share, please join us!
Meeting location:
Funny Monkey
2410 E Burnside St.
Portland, OR 97232
Parking is on the street and the #20 bus has a stop right in front of the door / across the street. Please signup if you're interested since the space is a bit limited. We look forward to seeing you there!

Object Oriented CSS Link
Thank you to everyone involved with putting this meetup together. Great information and it's always good to see what others are using to create awesome projects in Drupal.
I hope some conversation around this concept of OOCSS can ensue with in the community.

Ms Sullivan has some Great ideas
and drupal need to do more work here being each module can have it's own css. If You compress Your css You can go to the files file where every You end up putting it and then the css folder every so often You should clean out this folder and the js folder so Your server does not have to search thur all the old compressed css and js drupal 8 needs to this. After Your happy with Your site You should view source and pull the /sites/files/css/css_91XQh4471d5rZ8mIFv1egYb_iQFnzF5nedyJp3rjXk4.css file that is getting used and go thru and delete all duplicate css that is being used.
We are seeing more and more sites like google.com that is not using external js and css whats up with that. is this the future? notice google does not use any meta tags i guess they do not have to.
i hope this makes sense its late happy hour here in Idaho and its like a Clive Cussler novel here most people here are functioning alcoholics o how i miss Portland and the Oregon Killer Green!
JohnAlbin's excellent talk
I found John Albin's DrupalCon Denver presentation about Zen 5, responsive design, etc. excellent. If you haven't yet, check out the video online: http://denver2012.drupal.org/program/sessions/rethinking-responsive-buil...
Really some fantastic points to think about!
