NZ freelance environment

Hey everyone,

I'm a french Drupal developer who has been in the business for the last 4 years or so (started at Drupal 5!), essentially working on TV stations websites, as freelance or lead developer.

After having moved a few times, I am ready for a big jump and am looking towards New Zealand!

I would appreciate some advice on the Drupal freelance environment in New Zealand:
Where would be the best place to search for Drupal contracts and/or employment? What do you recommend?
Also, what is the freelance environment like, is there much demand?
Would Wellington or Auckland be the best place?

I'm not sure about the free lance environment, its usually "who you know" as far as I'm aware. However, if you're interested in a full time role, get in touch ;)
