Hello all,
Following the release of the new Google Cloud Messaging, we were able to release our first example for new approach for Drupal/mobile.
Currently all we offer is a combination of several Drupal modules (Google Cloud Messaging, Rules, Services and views) on the Drupal side, and a basic Android application on the other side.
The demo site in http://demo6.mobile4social.com comes to show the simple way we provide a Drupal mobile experience. You are welcome to install our Android application from Google Play, see how it works, and create new content on the demo site to see how the user receives it in the application.
Whoever already have a working Drupal 6 mobile site is welcome to ask us for its own branded application for free, and to setup his site to make it work.
Since the interaction with your mobile users will be built upon Rules and Views, we believe this simple solution can give you as a site developer/owner lots of strength and capabilities engaging your users and building the relationship with them.
Our plan is to release several enhancements in the near future:
- Full support for Drupal 7 (using entities fit to mobile needs)
- Geo Location feature - gather location details from the application, use "interesting" location/views interation to contact your users wherever they are
- Support user registration and authentication from the application
We hope you will find our solution useful to your current or future sites and we hope to get as much feedback from all of you to make our service as good as possible.

New Mobile4Social based application - Isocentre
We just released a new application based on Mobile4Social technology for the Isocentre community site.
As a site which allows membership only to qualified professionals in order to maintain the quality of discussions, restricting access to discussions and posts through a secure application was important, therefore while you can install the application, it requires a secret code to actually use it.
Still, you are welcome to read about it, about the new features added by Mobile4Social to support it, and to use the Mobile4social technology for your use.
