Sydney July Meetup - Online Video

3rd thursday of the month again, we'll be having our regular meetup on Thursday, July 16th. This month we will be back at our regular venue, the ABC Centre. (Next month is August 20th)

The last monthly meetup was great. We changed the venue and had a more social gathering at a nearby pub. I was a bit worried, but it turned out really well. I think everyone had a good time and there were a lot of new people. I will definitely try organizing some more social meetups if everyone is still keen. Thanks again to the people who showed up, especially the new faces.

This month we'll be at the ABC Centre again and we'll be focusing.
We'll also be running the support sessions again, since that seems to be a popular segment so bring your laptop!

Venue Details

The ABC Centre has some security issues, so it is important that people arrive early and sign in at the security desk so that we can take everyone into the building at once. Everyone just waits and chats in the lobby, so just look around for us if you're new. If you have problems you can call either of us. Many thanks go to the ABC for providing this venue.

Parking is possible at parking meters around thomas street and mary-anne street. But they take a 2 hour max i think. There are carparks behind the abc $15 (enter from thomas street, but on the chinatown side). Also, you can get all-evening parking at the Citigate (I think that's the name) parking station for $7 (starting after 5pm, I think, and stays open until well after midight). It's at the end of the Thomas street dead end (Eastern/Chinatown side), which is very close to the ABC's back entrance.

• Community News + Events by: Ryan Cross
  A regular addition to the agenda, this will cover monthly news in the community and around Drupal.
• Presentation: Flash Video by: James Gollan
  This presentation will cover setting up the flash video module and how to configure a server to use it. If you've ever wanted to build something like YouTube but didn't know how, this presentation should get you started.
• Presentation: Embedded Media
  This presentation will cover how to use the embedded media filed for including movies and other content into your site.
• Session: Live Support
  We will be delivering a live support session for all levels of Drupal experience. Remember when you first got started? - Everyone has been there and can help someone else climb the Drupal learning curve, wherever your current experience provides. Please come prepared with questions or answers, laptops and your Drupal experience! Unfortunately, we can't guarantee internet access.
• Continued at the pub with + Drinks/food

Next Month (August 20th):
- I will be attending DrupalCon Paris, so I won't be able to organize this one. Who wants to step up?
