Kolkata Drupal Meetup - July/August 2012

Hello there fellow Kolkatans!

As the city shifts into its monsoon mood, it seems like the best time ever to meetup over tea, coffee or rum and get to know fellow Drupalers in town :-)

I am starting this discussion to reach out to web developers in the city who are either already working with Drupal or would want to do so. So together we can plan a kickass meetup.

Please feel forward to add your suggestions for the meetup - things to talk about? when and where to meet? how to reach out more people? anything..

For example, conversations that I would like to have in a meetup would be -

• Your connection with Drupal? What do you use if for? Do you build sites or modules for others? Etc.
• How/ When/ Where to conduct free Drupal workshops for devs and/or college students?
• How/ When/ Where to organize coding sprints and Drupal hackathons ?
• Ways to have significant participation from Kolkata developers in upcoming DrupalCon Munich - http://munich2012.drupal.org/ ?
• How do devs and geeks in the region have more fun together?
• Why is Rum better than other drinks? ;-)
• And more..

My suggestion for when to meet up would be - July 15 (sunday) or July 21 (saturday) or any other date.

So again, if web development excites you, please share your thoughts on planning a meetup soon.

Meanwhile, I will try and share this post with few Kolkata developer forums out there, couchsurfing, twitter etc.
