Earlier this year, John Albin gave a presentation to BDUG on "Rethinking responsive building techniques with Drupal."
This session is a follow-up to John's presentation where I'll get into some of the details of Responsive Web Theming with Zen 5, Sass, and Compass.
Topics will include:
- What is "responsive web" again, and what does a responsive website look like?
- What is a media query, and how do I use one in a Drupal theme?
- Benefits of using Zen 5 as a base theme
- Benefits of Sass and Compass, and how to get started
- Example of a forthcoming Berkeley theme that was created using Zen 5, Sass, and Compass
The formal part of the session will cover Zen 5, Sass, and Compass, but if we have time afterward we can have a general theming discussion where folks can ask theming questions that can be answered by the group.
Hope to see you there,
Kathleen
