Mike Gifford of OpenConcept is visiting the Bay Area. He has spearheaded accessibility improvements in Drupal since 2008.
We would like to extend an invitation to everyone for a meetup.
This is an opportunity to for us to talk with Mike and Community leaders about Drupal and accessibility. This can be about business development, but also a chance to talk and collaborate about contributing back to open-source communities and finding ways to make accessibility easier to implement for everyone.

At the 9/22 BDUG meeting, Quinn Dombrowski will talk about automating various aspects of your Drupal site using the Rules module and ImageCache Actions module. Rules lets you specify sets of conditions that trigger actions (e.g. sending email, unpublishing a node, blocking a user), all through an administrative interface.

It's time! The very first meeting of the East Bay Drupal Users Group is happening after work on Wednesday, February 27th. The topic is Drupal Content Staging, and we have a great feature presentation by the legendary Dave Cohen. While he is perhaps best known as the author of the Drupal for Facebook module (http://drupal.org/project/fb) Dave has also done terrific work on many different aspects of Drupal development.

Next Monday, Michelle Ziegmann (UC Berkeley Educational Technology Services) will cover some advanced site building techniques. I recently launched a site for an online course that featured a game-based pedagogical approach. The game is designed to facilitate an actively engaged community of peers focused on student artwork and internet citizenship. Through their activities in the site, students earn "badges" that indicate their progress in the course.
