Drupal 7 Layout and Theming (August 22-23) $700
By starting with the bare bones of Drupal theming to completing a custom theme, you will understand the concepts of overriding, intercepting and altering in Drupal. You will do a step-by-step walk through creating a new theme based on a well tested theme development framework using development best practice. You will go in more depth to coding a custom theme, using pre-process functions and theme functions to get fine-grained control.
Drush & Git (August 24) $370
Really save yourself time when developing by becoming adept at Drush, Get up to speed with how to use version control in your projects and particulars of GIT the distributed version control system.
Drupal 7 Module Development (August 29 & 31) $700
Prerequisites:
Knowledge of PHP, and experience with Drupal site building and site management.
By the end of the training you will be able to:
Understand Drupal's hook system and development architecture
Articulate the construction of 90% of Drupal modules
Insert and extract data using Drupal's core database abstraction layer.
Responsibly modify contributed modules using patches.
Employ and articulate best practices, security techniques, conventions and coding standards
