Hi All,
Does anyone know if its possible to sell a PDF from Ubercart (Drupal 6)
I have just set up a store and all is functioning correctly for the sale of normal products, but I cant seem to find an option for this out of the box. Does anyone else know of a solution for this that plugs into ubercart?
Basically, I need to be able to upload an image of the PDF front page, and when user pays with paypal, they get an email with the link to download the PDF from the files directory.
I used to use an excellent module called "quickfile", for drupal 5, but its no longer maintained or upgraded for drupal 6

hmm... on the back of the tin, it says ubercart can "sell physical goods, file downloads,"
i think you should try the forums on the ubercart site. v active there. http://www.ubercart.org/forum
should be straightforward, i'd guess? now i'm curious... if you find the solution, can you link it back here?

Hey Heather,
Will def post back, thanks for the idea, I was totally obsessed with the drupal forums that I never though of the ubercart one lol. Will take a look today. In the meantime currently looking at http://drupal.org/project/ubercart_marketplace module that seems to be a good plugin, just not fully ready for D6
Still Having Issues
Hi Heather,
Was making great progress there with http://www.ubercart.org/docs/user/10966/selling_files
However, the final paragraph of that page is totally throwing me out -
"If you wish to send the customer an email with the file download link, you can do so with the built in notification support. To do this make sure you enable the Conditional Actions predicate at Administer > Store administration > Conditional actions"
I dont have this option at store administration. I do however have notifications set up correctly and conditional actions does appear for me at: /admin/settings/ca , with a title of "Notify customer when a file is granted" appearing to be set up correctly.
When I purchase the file, an email etc is sent confirming, but not the email with any file download link as suggested in the article
