The Observe Hack Make 2013 event will be the next edition in a series of massive outdoor hacking events organised in the Netherlands every 4 years. We plan to build a Drupal Village to represent the Drupal community, meet with other open source projects and have lots and lots of phun.
12-2012 Update: OHM is gearing up. Check out the call for participation and the Wild Ideas section for an idea what this event will be about. It would be nice to see some familiar Drupal names in the final programming but all participants are also encouraged to volunteer for other roles such as van/truck/fork lift/golf cart drivers or lighting fanatics or musicians.

Just as previous editions like Hacking At Random 2009 and What the Hack in 2005 a camping ground will be transformed into a Geek/Nerd/Hacker/Maker paradise. A few things to expect:
- 2500-3000 volunteers
- Just a few dozen non-volunteer attendees (really... we're all volunteers except for a few wealthy sponsors ;-)
- An awesome local network that connects to a way oversized fiber backbone. (last edition signs were put up to kindly ask attendees to "Use more bandwith".)
- An open source phonesystem that connects over a sitewide dect network, an opensource gsm network and voip with outbound and inbound connectivity, all for free.
- Family friendly unless you don't want your kids our spouse to learn how to make Lego robots
- Home made 3D printers, drones, tesla coils, rockets and lots and lots more...
We will build a Drupal Village on the camping ground. The idea is to:
- Bring together an international group representing the Drupal Community.
- Provide basic logistics for the Village (food, drinks, fridges, a large central tent etc)
- Work together on Drupal (security audits, sprints, sessions, training etc)
- Contribute a Drupal CMS to Ohm. (no wiki replacement but probably more a portal for the events broadcasting team. (radio & tv) or perhaps an public event api service.)
- Learn about Camping events so one day we can organize a dedicated Drupal Camping event in the future.
- Have Phun!
The location will be a camping ground about 40km north of Amsterdam. There will be options for Campers, trailers and motorbikes. Public transport will get you really close and a free shuttle service will be operated during the event. Pricing and more details will be announced in the coming month. If you would like to help out building to Drupal Village please register on the events wiki and add yourself to the list on the Drupal Village page.

This kind of event would make different specifications for a COD deployment.

"Raspberry PI Lawanmowers"

It's been quiet, but almost there!
Hey all!
So far the Drupalcamp won't be that big, which isn't bad at all, but maybe some Drupal people who are visiting OHM2013 missed this post :)
Everyone is still welcome! We will be setting up the camp coming saturday, so feel free to join us :)
Check out the wiki page for the Drupal camp : https://ohm2013.org/wiki/Village:Drupal
