Don't Think We Need a Module
We implemented Paypal last year (and are about to do so again this year) for our event. I believe we just used the HTML code snippet provided by Paypal - and it worked.
See our node at http://www.peaceworkmagazine.org/node/738/
I can look at the source code on that page if you want to see if there's anything special that we did, but I don't think so.

Thanks SamDiener
That makes sense to just set up a static page and add the HTML, I guess you could also do it in the sidebar,
I started yesterday adding the im_paypal module to my guitar site to try it out.
Next would be to add buttons and connect, I thought I would be able to place though the use of a PayPal block, but no
PayPal Block. Looks like I need to create a PayPal block, I used this:
http://drupal.org/project/lm_paypal
at this site.

Paypal
I've been using Paypal on my non/for-profit accounts as well, just as @samdiener describes. You're going to pay a transaction fee any way you go. It's just a matter of what integration and look/feel you want to accomplish.

Google Checkout
It's worth checking out Google Checkout as well.
http://checkout.google.com/seller/npo/index.html
They charge 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for processing.
Good Luck
