Was great to see the new faces at last months meet-up - with some of the regulars back in Brisbane, we'll hopefully have a strong turn-out!
This meet-up is at the usual location - Irish Murphys in the city from 7-9pm. Great location as food and drinks are literally outside the door.
We'll be in the meeting room upstairs to the left of the stairs behind the door. The room has a projector for the speeches and is shielded from most of the downstairs noise which is great!
Hoping to have two presentations then general chit-chat time afterwards. Last month John Zornig had offered to do a talk on "Basic Learning Tools Integration: Drupal as a Tool Provider for Blackboard Learn" Which would be a good one, but would love for others to put their hands up for the 2nd presentation (Potentially DavidSeth's proposed site run-through? Know it sounded like a good one back in July but unsure if still on the cards!)
I'll keep this post updated with details on the presentations as they're confirmed but wanted to lock this in so people can sign-up now.

I would be happy to have an informal talk on the ABC Music upgrade from D6 to D7. Informal because I just got back from the States so don't have the time to put together polished slides; rather I would walk through the live site and point out the process of upgrading, the pitfalls I encountered and the optimisations that were done. I would estimate it would take about 15-20 min, afterwards I would have happy to answer any questions.

October meeting
If we have any time, I wanted to start discussion on building mobile application and services for mobile applications using Drupal. Should take about 15-30 minutes and should be a good start for proposed talk at DrupalCon next year.

I am keen to join on the 9th of October. As far as I was aware the meetings were always the second Tuesday of the month.
Can someone post an official meetup? I also would like to see if we could post these gatherings on meetup.com. It would be a great way to spread the word to a wider, non-Drupal audience (I know... they do exist!).
