For the last 3 Galway Drupal Meetups we have basically sat around and discussed whatever came up.
Whilst this was very enjoyable and we all learned "something", we wish to have things a little more structured. To start this process off, we are trying to establish two things:
1) A presentation for each meetup
2) Someone to give the presentation
This thread is an attempt to begin the discussion about "What would YOU like to hear about/present on at Galway Drupal Meetups?". Some topics that came up at the last meeting:
1) Discussion: Panels Vs Display Suite (I had planned on rowing in behind DS, but am slowly falling in love with Panels).
2) Either/Or: Why do we use one module over another - Lightbox2 Vs Colorbox, Views Gallery Vs Custom Content Type, etc
3) Quirky Drupal modules - modules that are seldom used or thought of, but helpful and/or modules you can't believe even exist, but do!
4) Tutorial: mid-level "how tos" - e.g. adding CSS to a feature inside the feature's folder.
If anyone wishes to add to the above, please leave a comment below. If you are new to Drupal/Galway/Galway Drupal Meetups and would like to learn more, come along to the Annertech office on the last Wednesday of every (unless otherwise stated) month.
