The Orchestra Team is busy integrating the best CMS in the world to the best small business software in the world. Ok, ok, that's a little grandiose.

Here's what we do:

SAP Business One is a business management system designed for small and mid-size companies. Check it out here: http://www.orchestrateam.com/content/why-sap-business-one
SAP Business One handles all facets of the business, including Financials, Inventory, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Reporting. This is the platform for our integration, as everything ties into SAP Business One.

We integrate the Drupal Site for things like CRM, Support Ticket Management, and more.

When it comes to E-Commerce, we integrate Ubercart to SAP Business One. Customers place order online and the Sales Order gets automatically created in SAP Business One. If they paid online, that payment is immediately reflected in their account balance in SAP Business One and on the web in their customer account portal.

To further leverage SAP Business One integrations to Drupal and Ubercart, Orchestra is designing a custom pricing system for Ubercart to truly extend SAP Business One pricing functionality to the web. Like never before, users of SAP Business One will have complete control of their pricing on the web, right from within B1.

Just the first of many posts on this progress.

Power of Drupal

orchestrateam's picture

Because Drupal.org is so awesome, this page is now #5 on the fornt page of Google for the very competitive search term "sap business one". After only 2 weeks in existence.
This is why we love Drupal and people should read this post and check it out with us.

If your company does any SEO at all, consider a Drupal CMS site. It works wonders for us and even here on a site we post to, it is showing up at the top of Google.

Sweet.

SAP B1 and Drupal

vanburen's picture

Its good to see somebody taking a lead on integrating Drupal and SAP B1.

We recently adopted SAP B1 at the company I work at, consolidating 3 separate systems (one of which was still running on Windows 3.1!).

I think integration with ERP systems targeted at the SME market could be huge selling point in the future, an easy way to integrate our web presence with our back end systems could allow SME's to really cut costs by channelling customer interaction through website (e.g. mange accounts, book service visits etc.).

It would be interesting if Drupal could be integrated with other ERP systems, especially open source ones like Open ERP and Open Bravo.

B1 and Integration

Vanburen,

Drupal is great for integrating to SAP Business One and other ERP applications. Our firm started out as a SAP Business One reseller with Drupal coming along a few months later as a complimentary offering. We weren't huge fans of SAP's ecommerce system (now owned by zedIT), so we decided to pick a content platform and build our own. Drupal + Ubercart has been an awesome combination to take our clients from basic ERP systems in the back-end to a robust web platform that is fully integrated to their ERP.

I haven't had much experience with other ERP packages (other than competing against them for a sale), but there is no question that integration needs to be taken seriously to back-end systems.

Thanks for the note!

Someone new at both Drupal and B1

jeppy64's picture

I just started getting into the Drupal world very recently and the company where I work is about 80% done with the implementation of SAP B1. Moving away from the AS400, DB2 and FileMaker Pro world can't come soon enough for me personally. I am looking forward to watching this forum and hopefully being able to post some constructive findings of my own.

Hi,

Just wondering how this is going?

I'm a SAP Business One partner and am thinking of requesting funding from SAP, I will need to submit a case. But would just like to know if there are people still developing this?

Stewart
