Using one of MediaTemples dedicated virtuals:
Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) + Plesk
Anyone know if it's even worth attempting to install/configure Aegir with Plesk in the middle of things?
Thanks,
dp

Plesk and Aegir
Hi dp,
Plesk really does take hold of a server with an iron grip, so it could cause problems with Plesk's particular configuration of Apache.
It will at least be very awkward for you - because for every new site you'll need to set up the domain in plesk, and plesk will set up the vhost etc. then you'll have to get into shell and reconfigure that vhost to point at your aegir codebase. Plesk isn't really designed for running all the sites from a single codebase.
So I really wouldn't recommend running the two together. Aegir's best on a fairly vanilla LAMP stack.
If you really want a GUI admin panel to help manage your server, I'd suggest webmin. It simply provides a visual interface to the config files already on your server, rather than completely changing the stack to work in a different way.
cheers

Thanks, Steve. That's what our minimal research/testing was telling us. So thanks for confirming - you saved us a ton of time.
