The 'Find Content' form has a prominent place in Drupal 7. However, the form poses accessibility challenges. The filter form is composed of radio buttons and dropdowns that visually correspond for sighted users but there is no indication they correspond for screen-reader users.
I've proposed a change to the Find Content filter form. I'm seeking feedback here and in issue #551034. I believe the change is a win-win for accessibility and usability.
Here is a screenshot of the proposed form:

For reference, here is the current form:

Does anyone see disadvantages to this design? The proposed form is simpler with no radio buttons and allows multiple filters to be applied in a single submission.

Looks good, I think
Briefly, unless I'm misunderstanding what you're proposing, I think your version of the contact form will work better for everyone.

Yes
A big yes for me.
No "Reset" or "display all" button?
Off-topic, but I just noticed the "Find content" button in the toolbar may be a bit misleading. I sounds like I'm going to search if I click it, when in fact in can only list/filter. I can't remember if there was a reason for this.
Reset Filter stays as is
@elv, the 'Reset', 'Undo', and 'Refine' buttons would continue to work as they do now. They only appear on the form when at least one filter is applied.
I do suggest we change the 'Reset' button text to 'Reset filter' because otherwise users may think 'Reset' clears the entire form, including clearing the checkboxes in the table. Sighted users know by proximity that these buttons apply to the filter part of the page, but I have witnessed this form confuse screen-reader users.
Regarding your point about search, I agree that users might expect a keyword search within 'Find content'. This is a larger design decision that would be part of a separate patch, but it makes a lot of sense. Thanks!
