Great wall hiking with visiting Drupalista from Denver [back to Saturday]

Date changed back to Saturday 10th of November due to Gregg's preference if not many people join. :)
Still one more spot for seat avaiable. (As of Oct 24th noon)

I got contacted by fellow drupalista who is visiting Beijing for his business on November 6th.

And we are planning Great Wall hiking (real hiking not just for touristy style :))
I haven't really done real Great Wall hiking myself except touristy short visit and if any of you like this idea and would like to join, feel free to let us know.

Only thing is that I have a car that can take upto 3 people comfortably so if it's one person then it's 3 of us.
If several or many of you want to hike together then we need to organize transportation. This sounds more fun to me though. :)

I am not researching style for trip and Gregg already got some Great Wall research result. But you are welcome to suggest or recommend if you know more than us. :)

I checked with a friend who did a lot of research on the Wall and she suggested:

Went to the Mutianyu section--far fewer crowds, but a bit steeper to climb up to. We took the cable car up, which was followed by a somewhat steep walk up to the base of the Wall, after which we climbed (think: ladder climbing) some steep stone steps to get on top.

The following post reads like there's a cable car option that delivers you all the way to the top--didn't see one, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there.

Any luck finding other Drupalistas to join us?

I am assuming that most people work Monday through Friday, so maybe Saturday would be a good day to become tourists?

Any suggestions on the best short term option for a pre-paid SIM with data for my smart phone (which tethers to my laptop)? The ideal would be under 30 minutes talk time and roughly 1 GB of data available the week I'm there at the lowest cost.
