Doesn't create user site

Hi,

I just got OS installed on Dreamhost. I got the welcome page (with the "Get your site now!" link) more or less successfully (a few warning messages), and I created a new site called "projects."

But now there are a couple of problems. First, when I go to the root web site (mydomain/openscholar/), I don't seem to get the administrator options -- just a page with the intro video and a button saying "Go to my site." Second, when I click that button (the link is mydomain/openscholar/content/projects), I get redirected to mydomain/projects, which throws a "404 Not Found" error.

Can anyone tell me what might be going on here? Might I have screwed up in the installation process?

Question 1
There's a login button at the bottom of the admin page. Have you tried to login using that button?

Question 2
Did you try and setup a custom domain for your newly created site called projects? You can do this under the settings for that site, but if you haven't already created the alias (using godaddy or where you buy your aliases) then you'll get an error.

If you left the custom domain field alone, you should be able to find your site at

mydomain/openscholar/newsitename

try just manually typing in that url to see if you can go there.
