I know that at least some of the folks on this group of community media practitioners are also Telvue users who chose Telvue because of the lead role they took in users in smart, open solution for community media.
In a couple of weeks at the Alliance for Community Media Northeast Regional Conference (in Plymouth, MA) http://www.acm-ne.org there will be a Telvue Users Meetup on Nov. 1 from 12 - 1:30pm.
I am concerned about:
No roadmap or deadline for Internet Archive integration
The lack of open API's from Telvue (Please Add Boolean for Cloudcast to AddProgram() and EditProgram() http://forum.telvue.com/topic.php?id=724)
A split in the road coming ahead with jUpload vs. Telvue Connect.
So, as I am gathering my own thoughts, I thought we could come together and try to speak collectively at this meeting. I know it has driven our lead developers crazy to have these conversations over and over again.
Thoughts?

As far as Internet Archive
As far as Internet Archive support, I've been told that is no longer going to be directly supported by Telvue.
I am concerned that Telvue is making open communication with developers more difficult by disabling the ability to reply to Forum posts, but Daniel Pisarski did respond to my post via email saying they'd "try" to get Cloudcast options add to the API in 3.23. Of course it would have been better if Daniel just posted a reply himself that everyone could read.
I don't really see the JUpload functionality as competing with Telvue Connect. JUpload is just an FTP client. Connect is also a transcoder and series scheduler that moves the bandwidth and network requirements to accept incoming files to the "cloud". While you can do that all with open sources solutions, that often requires more staff time to support than using JUpload w/ a commercially supported encoder or what Telvue is charging for connect.
neglected to post that conclusion to our own forum
jdcreativity, kreynen,
My bad for not posting our conclusion Kevin to that forum. Yes, we have disabled for the forum for now - we were having a lot of trouble with spam (which, amazingly, was making it through both captcha and akismet), and thought it better to just turn it off until we could launch something new (which we plan to do, more below) rather than subject everyone to more "free pills" posts.
I have posted an answer there now so that question is not dangling, and yes, after our conversation I did add to our roadmap to include a programmatic way to trigger a Turbo transcode and upload to CloudCast (formerly PEG.TV). Still on the map for around 3.23 (3.22 is just about to launch).
I really do hope to get something new up in place of the forums, we have looked into a few much more upgraded forums and similar services. We, unfortunately, got a little delayed internally here and so this period of one forum down but the next one not up yet has extended longer than I wished. In the meantime, certainly feel free to use support@telvue.com (our normal support email address) and engineering@telvue.com (goes to the development team) with any api questions or feature requests.
