Hi Drupal Peeps!
I'm looking for a tutor or a mentor to help me in trying to understand some technical parts in developing drupal modules and customising configurations.. Im a Junior Web Developer that has been using drupal for about 2 months, and ive found that i really could use a mentor or someone i can ask questions to, which would save me countless hours.
I live in the northern beaches/north sydney area, so preferably someone local, and someone i'm able to come and visit, if necessary, if im stuck with a situation or solution. (Beyond help that can be found online - or limited by my own technical knowledge).
Paying $25 an hour.
email me at chris.stevensn@gmail.com or pm me here.
Regards,
Chris.

Yea im usually on there.. i find my questions don't get answered. But i dont blame people for not answering them.
Some questions i know can be answered i ask there. And i help out sometimes with other peoples questions, but theirs are a little simpler...
IRC
I'm usually in there and I would say that a good percentage of questions get answered. Maybe IRC is good for technical issues where the question is quite specific. Short but sweet.
Don't give up on IRC. It's a valuable resource.
Emspace and a few others are doing some training. The Pro Drupal Development book is very good too.
Might need to adjust your hourly.
Hi
I am curious if the hourly rate you mention will elicit interest from any people who have the required skillsets in a. 'developing drupal modules and customising configurations' and b. being able to communicate such.
People adjust their hourly rate for all sorts of reasons - even the prospect of some nice relaxed meetings at a Northern Beaches cafe, might motivate a downward expectation.
But may I suggest the probability is high that you will need to offer more.
I'm in Melbourne so I'm out of consideration. I hope you will let us know if you are successful or not.
