Sprint

Greetings Drupal Friends,

I need some help with my site and I want to hear about your successes. I am buying breakfast at 10am (Be here early) for the first 15 Drupal front end developers that can critique my site and make on the spot improvements based on my goals (you might need to drive). The meeting site is High Rocks Restaurant and lounge located at 915 S. Arlington, Gladstone OR 97027 (phone is 503-656-1111) http://www.highrocksrestaurant.com/services.html. It is conveniently located off of 205, right by Safeway and near Harley Davidson, or a short drive from 99E. You can network with folks in the Clackamas County area and find out what they are working on and make new connections. I don't know about you but I hate parking in NW Portland for meetings there! After the small sprint I would like to choose a developer for part time work on my site, hopefully you can meet with me once a week and share my passion of Citizen Activism. My goals is to have my existing site organized and working with suggestions on improvements for work orders and project management. I need to get a ftp working, Paypal, and the ability to upload images. If this goes well I don't mind being an organizer for reoccurring Clackamas Drupalers breakfast meetings here!

Again the cut off is 15 motivated Drupal 7 masters!

Thanks Friends for taking the time to consider my offer!

Free breakfast eh? I've done worse :)

I'm not looking for part time work though, I'm booked through June of 2013... but I'll show up and help out still if that's kosher.

I need more Drupal 7.0 developers in Clackamas County! For every Drupal Developer to sign up, help out and eat yummy breakfast I will also issue $10.00 for extras like video poker or maybe you want to eat more than the $10.00 max for breakfast. Either or you get $10.00 cash. Remember 15 developer max!

While I found the concept and

While I found the concept and format interesting you may like to know why I will not participate:
- way to far away.
- $10 is 1.5 minute at my regular hourly fee - at this price I rather prefer paying for breakfast.
- don't necessary like the idea of competing for your attention.

I think you will have more success with this setup if you choose a more central location, ask for a smaller group of developer (with specific skill sets), find other people who need help with their site so invited developer can be correctly remunerated when they help you and them. Now an open-ended monthly meeting where entrepreneurs and developers meet based on the idea of quick fix and critic with a remuneration based on the work can be an interesting market, if you can find enough people on both side.

Intent

allthingsgeo@hotmail.com's picture

My intent is to 1) See if there is a Drupal Community in Clackamas County 2) If there's not create a forum for one 3) Find out more about developer talent 4) Get some direct help on my site as a discussion point for mingling and interaction 5) Provide a place to provide thoughts and content tools between developers and in front of potential clients.

Lets Do This!
